The bath trick: self-massage with a ball in a bath
This is my favourite clever and handy self-treatment tip. It came from combining two other classic tactics for treating your own trigger points: the heat of a bath, with the pressure of a ball . But the result is more than the sum of the parts, and it works better in some ways than any other method of self-massage method I’ve ever come up with. The idea is simply to run a hot bath, and trap a ball between your body and the bottom or back of the tub to rub your back muscles — your buoyancy allows for excellent control with moderate pressures.

And you need the right kind of ball for best results, a tennis ball is best.
