Our mothers were right. Broccoli is good for us, but possibly in ways our mothers never knew. Health practitioners and fitness experts around the world have heralded the benefits of broccoli for decades. Scientists have long demonstrated the antioxidant properties of broccoli. Many people know that broccoli is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, the big free radical scavenger vitamins. However, a brand new clinical study was just released in January 2012 which is getting scientists excited about broccoli - and other cruciferous vegetables - again. Broccoli, and similar vegetables like Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower may be able to manipulate human genes. The secret ingredient is sulfur.

Reiki healing has been a growing practice for many years now. It is recognized as a great tool that is aimed at personal treatment and growth. Reiki energy is channeled from a spiritual source which never fails to come up with the best results. The healing applies for the spirit, the mind, and the body which has to serve as the guide in an individual's journey called life. Reiki likewise aids in the enhancement of personal talents. Of course, all of these can only materialize if you decide to get attuned to this sacred practice. There exists a sacred covenant that has to be maintained and nurtured for always
Some readers of this blog have assumed that, since I write about Tantra, I must also teach. Because I don't, I've decided to write a post about how to find a Tantra teacher for those readers who've asked me for help. I'll also include some suggestions if you decide that personal instruction is too inconvenient or expensive at the present time. Many contemporary Tantra teachers were trained by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho) or his disciples.Bodhi Avinasha and Margot Anand are two of the best known of these teachers. Sunyata Saraswati, co-author with Bodhi Avinasha of Jewel In The Lotus (still the best self-teaching book in my opinion), also trained many teachers, as have Charles and Caroline Muir. These are some of the names you will probably come across when evaluating the credentials of prospective teachers. The single best source for listings of Tantra teachers is the Teachers Directory at Suzie Heumann's website Tantra.com. Teachers are listed both alphabetically and geographically. Tantrika International, founded by Bodhi Avinasha, also has a geographically organized teachers directory, as does Charles and Caroline Muir's Source School of Tantra. My own Tantra teacher since 2001 is John Hawken, a student of Margot Anand, who teaches at Skydancing Tantra UK, and in the Chzeck republic. When personal Tantra instruction is either inconvenient or too expensive, Al Link and Pala Copeland'sSexual Mastery Course and Kerry and Diane Riley's Ultimate Home Tantra Course are two excellent self-teaching courses. I highly recommend either of these courses for those who can't find a local Tantra teacher, attend a Tantra workshop, or just want to explore Tantra in the privacy of their own home. If you're interested in finding out more about Tantra, the books, courses, and teachers are there for anyone who wants to learn. You can even use my blog and other websites to get started. The most important thing is to get started, and "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Some of you may be familiar with the work of Dr. Wilheim Reich, a brilliant protégé of Sigmund Freud and major architect of the Sexual Revolution, whose work is the basis for most mind/body therapies in use today. Most people have forgotten that Reich's theories and practices for enhancing orgasmic potency and sexual freedom were PART of a larger vision for returning humankind to a more natural state. While Reich's theories have not yet been the subject of scientific research, if Reich is correct, those of you who've been working on your own sexual liberation for years now, should be prime candidates for leading the next wave of change. If this is a conversation that interests you, please join me in continuing it here.
Many people have asked me to explain Tantra. OSHO explains it perfectly.
Massage is something that you can start learning but you never finish. It goes on and on, and the experience becomes continuously deeper and deeper, and higher and higher. Massage is one of the most subtle arts – and it is not only a question of expertise. It is more a question of love. First learn the technique, learn the technique – then forget it. Then just feel, and move by feeling. When you learn deeply, ninety percent of the work is done by love, ten percent by the technique. By just the very touch, a loving touch, something relaxes in the body. If you love and feel compassion for the other person, and feel the ultimate value of him; if you don’t treat him as if he is a mechanism to be put right, but an energy of tremendous value; if you are grateful that he trusts you and allows you to play with his energy – then by and by you will feel as if you are playing on an organ. The whole body becomes the keys of the organ and you can feel that a harmony is created inside the body. Not only will the person be helped, but you also. Massage is needed in the world because love has disappeared. Once the very touch of lovers was enough. A mother touched the child, played with his body, and it was massage. The husband played with the body of his woman and it was massage; it was enough, more than enough. It was deep relaxation and part of love. But that has disappeared from the world. By and by we have forgotten where to touch, how to touch, how deep to touch. In fact touch is one of the most forgotten languages. We have become almost awkward in touching, because the very word has been corrupted by so-called religious peo ple. They have given it a sexual colour. The word has become sexual and people have become afraid. Everybody is on guard not to be touched unless he allows it. Now in the West the other extreme has come. Touch and massage have become sexual. Now massage is just a cover, a blanket, for sexuality. In fact neither touch nor massage are sexual. They are functions of love. When love falls from its height it becomes sex, and then it becomes ugly. So be prayerful. When you touch the body of a person be prayerful – as if God Himself is there, and you are just serving Him. Flow with total energy. And whenever you see the body flowing and the energy creating a new pattern of harmony, you will feel a delight that you have never felt before. You will fall into deep meditation. While massaging, just massage. Don’t think of other things because those are distractions. Be in your fingers and your hands as if your whole being, your whole soul is there. Don’t let it be just a touch of the body. Your whole soul enters into the body of the other, penetrates it, relaxes the deepest complexes. And make it a play. Don’t do it as a job; make it a game and take it as fun. Laugh and let the other laugh too. Soon you will be helping many people.. Source: from Osho's Book “Hammer on the Rock” Please call John today at 0868255206 to make your appointment.
